Terry Rice Hinders is the Director of Virginia Tech’s Online Master of Information Technology (MIT) program, ranked #2 by U.S. News & World Report. In her role, Terry engages with online students at every point in the student lifecycle, spearheading recruitment, admissions, enrollment, academic planning and student affairs activities. In addition to her hands-on work with students, Terry is extensively involved with faculty and program oversight committees, including the MIT Executive Committee, Advisory Board and Curriculum Committee, and instructional design.
Prior to joining Virginia Tech and the Online MIT program, Terry worked for The George Washington University’s College of Professional Studies, where she managed recruitment and enrollment campaigns for online and off-campus degree programs in Education Administration. While at The College of William & Mary, she managed operational and student services for the Executive MBA program at the Mason School of Business.
Terry received her M.Ed. in Higher Education Policy, Planning and Leadership from The College of William & Mary and her B.A. from Simmons College, School of Management.
