Theresa Caragol

Theresa Caragol has over 20 years of strategy and implementation experience in IT and telecommunications. She brings together a unique blend of skills and experience with extensive IT – hardware and software to enterprise, and partner ecosystems including resale and managed services as well as telecommunications experience. With experience from several IT vendors, she brings sales, channel, business development, P&L and strategic alliances and consulting experience. She has served on multiple IT industry advisory boards and her insights are grounded in field experience, strategic design, practical application and operational expertise.

Theresa founded TCC to assist organizations with their global go to market strategy and growth models. She contracts and consults with companies to help them with global strategy, go to market models, partner and channel development, market value propositions, M&A successful integrations and leading change.

For the past 10 years, Theresa has held global Vice President Channels and Alliances leadership positions at Ciena and Extreme Networks where she has:

  • Led strategy and successful execution of worldwide channels and partnerships encompassing a base of more than 2,000 partners and 60+ distributors globally;
  • Built global partner routes-to-market that included global service provider managed services, strategic technology partners and OEM alliances
  • Developed industry-recognized channel partner programs
  • Led global sales, marketing and channel and 2-tier distribution organizations
  • Conducted multiple company acquisition integrations and successfully consolidated complete channel ecosystem mergers
  • Established partner–centric organizational cultures

Theresa’s 20+ years of experience in the technology industry also includes stints with IBM, Nortel, Bay Networks and Cambrian Systems. Theresa co-chairs a Baptie Channel Focus womens’ advisory board, which provides directional guidance for content and education to channel professionals. She serves on the advisory board of PerScholas, an initiative to bring underprivileged individuals into IT. She has also previously served on Friends of Guest House Non Profit Board, Comptia Women’s’ Forum Executive Council, and Virginia Tech’s College of Arts and Sciences Board.

Additionally, she was selected as one of 15 inaugural women for The Leadership Foundry, created by Women in Technology (WIT), to assist more women to serve on corporate boards in the Washington, D.C. area. Theresa has received numerous IT industry channel accolades recognizing her work:
