Kelly Walsh attended the NC School of Science & Mathematics and UNC Chapel Hill. She dabbled in astronomy, physics, and computer science before finally graduating with a BA in philosophy. She joined Spoonflower in 2011 as a weekend printer operator, but before long her coworkers discovered her previous coding experience and convinced her to join the engineering department. Her favorite project thus far has been developing a custom garment tool and taking it from proof-of-concept to the fully-fledged product platform behind Sprout Patterns. As Director of Site Engineering, she guides the team in refining core Spoonflower functionality while continuing to develop new and exciting features.
