WITS is accepting select volunteers to assist with the 2024 programs. Volunteers who meet the agreed upon task and time requirements will receive complimentary admission to WITS 2024 events. Details on each available volunteer position are below. Apply to be a WITS Volunteer here.

Sponsor dollars are how WITS and its parent organization, the Inspiring Tech Foundation, continue to bring you great programming, now and in the future. Help us find great organizations to work with by helping with sponsor outreach.

Sponsorships

  • Compile / add to  list of potential sponsors
  • Outreach to / communication and followup with potential sponsors
  • Introduction of interested organizations to WITS staff to finalize sponsorship

Expected time: 5 hours per week, more if possible

You know how great WITS is so help us tell other women in tech! Volunteer to spread the word by doing attendee outreach.

Attendee outreach

  • Compile / add to list of potential attendees / organizations who may send attendees
  • Outreach to potential attendees / organizations who may send attendees

Expected time: 5 hours per week, more if possible

It takes a team to make each event run, join us as a day-of event volunteer.

Day-of Volunteers

  • Arrive early to assist with set-up
  • Registration / check-in of speakers and attendees
  • Speaker assistance and room set-up – before each session, make sure rooms are set-up, speakers have everything they need, and start recording at beginning of session
  • General attendee assistance
  • Assist with clean-up/break-down

Expected time: Full days of the selected summit, possibly additional time the day before

 

Other needed volunteers: 

Marketing 

  • Assist with creation and execution of the WITS marketing strategy 
  • Assist with email / newsletter creation and management
  • Assist with social media creation and management

Expected time: 10 hours per month, more if possible

Design / Graphic Design 

  • Assist with creation of designs for social media posts, other marketing, and WITS website

Expected time: 10 hours per month, more if possible

Video editing 

  • Assist with editing of WITS videos

Expected time: 5 hours per week, more if possible
