We promised big WITS news, and it is finally here!
For the past three years, WITS and TechGirlz have been programs of Creating IT Futures, the charitable program arm of CompTIA. Each program has benefited and grown from this successful relationship. The TechGirlz and Creating IT Futures teams have engaged deeply in building and increasing youth tech education and outreach programs, and Creating IT Futures will continue to focus on these youth-oriented programs.
With this focus at Creating IT Futures on further growing tech education for youth, the timing was right to pivot WITS in a new direction. With the support of Creating IT Futures and CompTIA, I am announcing my departure to form a new non-profit organization, tentatively named the Inspiring Tech Foundation, which will run The Women in Tech Summit (WITS) and, eventually, other programs as well.

Kicking off this exciting new chapter, WITS will hold a virtual summit this Fall and prepare to be back in person in 2023! Here is what is being planned:
- Fall 2022 Virtual Summit – October 20 and 21, 2022 (see CFP info below – ticket info coming soon)
- WITS MidAtlantic – Washington DC – March 23 and 24, 2023
- WITS Northeast – Philadelphia – April 27 and 28, 2023
- WITS Midwest – Chicago – May 2023
- WITS 2023 Virtual – July 2023
- WITS West – Denver – September 2023
- WITS Southeast – Raleigh – November 3 & 4, 2023
If you are interested in speaking at the Fall 2022 Virtual summit or any of the 2023 summits, please submit your speaking proposals via this form no later than July 15, 2022. If you submitted a speaking proposal for the Spring 2022 summit, it will be considered for the Fall 2022 summit.
