In response to escalating concerns about the COVID-19 virus outbreak, and out of an abundance of caution for the health of our participants, we have decided to postpone the MidAtlantic, Northeast and Midwest Summits.

The new dates for the summits are:

WITS MidAtlantic – September 17 and 18, 2020

WITS Midwest – September 25, 2020

WITS Northeast – November 12 and 13, 2020

All registrations for the events will be honored and automatically transferred for the new dates, and we will accept new registrants through the later event dates.

We have numerous attendees, speakers, and sponsors who are participating in the MidAtlantic and Northeast summits from outside the Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Philadelphia metro areas. Many of whom work for companies, including our own parent organizations, that have recommended restrictions to travel and conference attendance.

With their inability to participate and our commitment to the health and safety of the WITS community, postponing the MidAtlantic, Northeast, and Midwest Summits is the right choice. However, we do realize this can create inconveniences and we apologize in advance for those that have already made travel or lodging arrangements. We have heard that airlines and hotels are considering more lenient cancellation policies and would recommend checking with them about the current policies.

We will continue to monitor the situation and make informed decisions regarding future 2020 summits based on local and national public health authority recommendations. You can also follow the CDC for updates on virus prevention methods and announcements.

We know that our participants attend WITS for insights, information, and networking opportunities relevant to their work in the technology industry. While we are excited to convene the MidAtlantic, Midwest, and Northeast summits in the Fall, if you are not able to attend on the rescheduled dates, you can always join us at one of the other 2020 summits.

WITS West – in Denver

WITS Southeast – in Raleigh

Once again, we are sorry for any challenges this announcement causes you. We ask for your understanding as we continue to manage this dynamic situation with everyone’s health and well-being in mind.
